Etruscaia

The Azienda Vitivinicola Etruscaia was founded in 2008 with the decision to allocate the fruits of many years of amateur work in the production of wine grapes and selective vinification aimed at seeking the best possible quality of the wines obtainable from the vines present in its land to commercial activity.

The vineyards extend for about six hectares, a few hundred meters from the Tyrrhenian sea, at the foot of Tarquinia, where the sun shines for more than three hundred days a year and the constant and brackish winds refresh the grapes making the wine particularly tasty.

The selective micro-vinifications have allowed the identification and production choice of red wines such as Merlot, Syrah, Montepulciano and Sangiovese and of white wines such as Malvasia and Viognier on which the production destined for the market harvest has been based from the 2011.

The aim of the company is to produce organic wines with winemaking techniques aimed at obtaining products with sensory characteristics immediately attributable to the typicality of the vines used.

The vinification and bottling take place in the company cellar, located in the center of the vineyards, built in the architectural style of the Etruscan Tombs.

The Cantina delle Ombre, so called for an exceptional phenomenon that occurs on the arch above its entrance, is certified organic and therefore the wines produced are free of chemical agents that alter their properties.

The lands have also been devolved to organic culture and obtained official certification in August 2018. The availability of a large garden with plants and flowers, surrounded by vineyards, olive trees, trees and with a wide glimpse of the sea, has led to the creation of an accommodation facility where you can spend a few hours of conviviality with friends, immersed in the green of the rows and of the garden.

The wrought iron structure is surrounded by climbing roses and rosemary plants; it can accommodate about 130 people and can only be used with reservation.

Etruscaia is located in the Maremma Laziale near Tarquinia, near the sea, refreshed by the winds, immersed in silence, with panoramic views that sweep across land, sea and sky, even at night due to the unusual brightness of the starry sky.
